The Company Looks For What?

When a company is looking for a profile to fit a position, its HR department looks for other things apart from the needed skills. They generally look for someone who is able to:

  • Solve the company problems,
  • Reinforce the harmony of its staff,
  • Contribute to the development of the firm,
  • Create additional value,
  • Make the company super-dominate its competitors.

Not only will your role not be limited to the position, but you will be implicitly asked to serve other company sides like its

  • Culture,
  • Image and brand,
  • Philosophy,
  • Future.

Also, companies tend to hire the best candidates in order not to let competitors attract them. This is why you might be hired but not given your tasks immediately. The company may want to keep you for a while until your position is completely ready; instead of letting its competitors “collect” the brains from the market.

If you are a trainee and are treated this way, you must understand the company concerns and not panic if you are given different tasks.

Unless you understand what the company is looking for from you, you will not be able to perform all the tasks assigned to you at ease.

With that being said, you need to move to the next step, that is what you are colleagues are waiting from the company.
